President Jose Manuel Barroso has announced his new team of 27 commissioners who will now face the European Parliament in mid-January. According to EUobserver, MEPs have made it clear they intend to grill all of the candidates but a final plenary vote could take place at the end of January allowing the new commission to be on its feet by February.
