European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso addressed the Liberal Democrat Conference in Brighton. He said the European Union is "tackling the issues that matter to Europe's citizens". John agreed.

"Some people would have you think that there's a conspiracy around every corner. This is not the case. The European Union is not perfect but it is working to solve real problems." John said.
