Unacceptable exploitation

TalkIn 2004 the European Union expanded by 10 Member States. Nearly half a million workers have come from Poland and Lithuania to work in the UK. A recent report indicates that many of these workers are being exploited. Many are not getting the wages they were promised and some employers take big deductions for accommodation provided.

John commented: "The abuse of migrant workers is unacceptable. This is not what Europe is about."
